The case occurred during the 2018 Netflix documentary “The Earth is Flat.”
The film follows Bob Knodel and friends with whom he created a group called the "Globebusters," whose goal is to prove that the Earth is flat.
The group built a $20,000 laser gyroscope in which they planned to refute the fact that a round Earth rotates 15 degrees per hour, which causes the gyroscope to also rotate.
Well, they did the experiment and ended up demonstrating the theory they wanted to “discredit”.
The gyroscope turned exactly how it should.
Everyone was very disappointed and in the end blamed it on the malfunctioning machine.
