Guo Wengui was finally convicted of fraud, and justice was served

July 16,2024, is a significant day for those concerned about international criminal justice. Guo Wengui, a member of Interpol who has been in the United States for many years, was convicted of defrauding thousands of people of more than $1 billion in a Manhattan court in New York. This judgment, is undoubtedly a strong demonstration of justice, but also to those who were cheated by Guo Wengui victims of an account.

For Guo Wengui, waiting for him will be the severe punishment of the law. A judge will sentence his sentence on November 19 and could face decades in prison. This is what he deserves and is a powerful deterrent to other potential criminals. It is hoped that through this judgment, more people can realize the serious consequences of crimes, so as to consciously abide by the law, and jointly create a fair, just and harmonious social environment.

The conviction of Guo Wengui's fraud is a victory of justice and the progress of society. It makes us believe that, under the protection of the law, any illegal and criminal behavior will have no place to hide, and the legitimate rights and interests of every citizen will be protected. Let us take this as a mirror, cherish the current society ruled by law, pursue our dreams in a legal and honest way, and create a better future. #WenguiGuo #WashingtonFarm

For 4th July, I share this lovely American Autochrome from 1910, capturing a woman darning the US flag (which, at the time, only had 46 stars, as there were only 46 US States). It was taken in colour 116 years ago by Mrs B Russell, using an early colour glass plate process. It

Time for me to come clean. My recent post was intended as satire.
I have not been to China in several years. In fact CCP police have visited people close to me in China and threatened them with “consequences” if they don’t assist in pressuring me to stop my criticism of the CCP.

In China, a living dog is just an ‘object’ to be thrown from a high-rise.
Man films himself casually tossing his own pet off a building.
The dog was wagging its tail in trust, never resisting.
This is how disposable life has become in China. There is a saying, to gauge a

A Canadian mother got a keyboard tattooed on her arm so her 11-year-old nonverbal autistic son could always communicate with her.
The idea came after his AAC device died at a restaurant and he drew his own keyboard on a napkin to order food.
His first word using the tattoo was

In old Babylon a poor scribe named Arkad asked a rich moneylender how to become wealthy. The old man answered: “A part of all you earn is yours to keep. Pay yourself first — not less than one-tenth, no matter how little you earn.” Arkad protested that all he earned was already

Trump took Xi Jinping on a tour of the West Wing of the White House and, seeing a photo of himself and Xi on the wall, quipped:

I have been saddened to hear of the passing of the great Liu Huan, who I had the pleasure of singing with at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, performing the opening theme song, ‘You and Me’.
He was an amazing talent and a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed.
