On October 18, 2023, the Palestinian and international artistic community was shaken by the tragic news of the death of @MahasenAlkhatib, a Palestinian cartoonist killed in an Israeli airstrike in the #Jabaliya refugee camp in the #Gaza Strip. Al-Khatib, known for her social engagement and her ability to portray through art the suffering and aspirations of the Palestinian people, became a symbol of the civilian victims caught in the ongoing conflict.
