The Codex Gigas, also known as the Devil's Bible, is the largest medieval manuscript in the world written in the 13th century.

It is a medieval illuminated manuscript created at the Benedictine monastery of Podlažice in Bohemia, today a region of the present-day Czech Republic.
Measuring 92 cm in length and weighing 74.8 kg, the Codex Gigas is composed of 310 sheets of parchment claimed to be made from the hides of 160 donkeys or calves.
The manuscript includes illuminations in red, blue, yellow, green, and gold.

The book appears to be simultaneously a Bible, a grimoire, a historical text, and a guide to healing.
