I’ve been making this point for years — China really has ascended the value chain, they aren’t only making cheap Walmart stuff anymore, they are in fact posting genuinely incredible results in the physical world — and they just shouldn’t be underestimated.

I think the period from roughly 2015-2025 of thinking China would just go away, or get old before they get rich, or collapse into a ditch, is now over. Dead at the hands of the enormous traction of BYD / Rednote / Deepseek.

Please note that saying China is strong
is not the same as saying they are good. But they are strong.
