A woman known as Girl B told Manchester Crown Court she was trafficked as a sex slave by a Rochdale grooming gang while police and social workers turned a blind eye.

Girl B claimed she reported the abuse to police and social services:

'They said I was a prostitute. I was prostituting myself,'

8 men are on trial for raping and abusing two girls between 2001 and 2006 - charges they deny.

Girl B is one of two girls said to have been subjected to a series of sexual offenses by Mohammed Zahid, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Kasir Bashir between 2001 and 2006.

The prosecution said the girls were attacked in parks, cars, disused warehouses, and alleyways after being plied with alcohol and drugs.
