8月26日，西藏吉隆口岸泥石流现场视频显示，山谷内泥水裹挟大量碎石快速下泄。视频前段尚能清楚看到谷底建筑、道路及遍地乱石，约30秒后，上游突然涌来更猛烈的褐色洪流，巨大的泥浪迅速翻过在建的水坝，涌入谷底，扬起大量水雾和尘土。
