NEW: The situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad area remains difficult as Ukrainian forces fight to hold the shoulders of the pocket and Russian forces continue to advance in the area. Both Ukrainian and Russian forces recently advanced in the Pokrovsk direction.
