Because if the country goes insolvent—if all the money is just spent on paying interest on debt—there's no money left for anything.

That's the reason I'm doing this.

I was looking at the big picture here and saw that our debt's getting out of control.

A country is not different from a person.

If the country overspends, the country goes bankrupt, just like if a person overspends, they go bankrupt.

So, it's not optional to solve these things.

It's essential.”
