A 16-year-old Form 4 student at Tunku Putra-HELP International School in Kuching livestreamed an attack on a female teacher on the morning of 21 October 2026.

With a phone fixed to his forehead in the school toilet, he then ran into a classroom shouting “This is what you get” and injured the teacher’s hand. She required medical treatment and is recovering. No other injuries were reported.

Police recovered a penknife, a small axe/hatchet, and firecrackers. The student was restrained at the scene, arrested, released on police bail, and placed under psychiatric observation. He is no longer an active student. The case is being investigated under Penal Code Section 324 and the Explosives Act.

In an earlier street livestream and related posts, he stated that he has issues with Islam specifically because he felt it was forced on him by his parents.
