A viral clip from Mount Austin Volunteer Fire Team (Johor Bahru) shows a member placing a still-blind kitten into a container with a snake.

The team claims the snake was already dead, containers were limited, and the kitten was later released.

Alleged WhatsApp screenshots circulating online discuss the kitten’s condition and the possibility of feeding it to the snake if unadopted.

Authorities have not yet received a formal animal-welfare complaint. The team has apologised for the poor handling and reported the video uploader to police.

Public continues to demand clear evidence of the snake’s death and the kitten’s actual outcome.

Thing to note that the kitten is newborn and they claim that they already let the kitten go.
