Al Jazeera on a Philippine coast guard vessel in the #SouthChinaSea on Nov. 10 just one nautical mile from the Second Thomas Shoal, where Manila has grounded an old warship to stake its claim. Supply ships able to get through but all around us were Chinese ships - 28 militia, 5 coast guards and 5 from their Navy. During this same mission, a Chinese coast guard vessel fired water cannon into the direction of a Philippine supply boat. Manila condemned dangerous maneuvers by the Chinese, Beijing insists it took necessary enforcement measures.
