Qatar Al-Jazeera spells it out. Islam is at war with the West, not only in Gaza. It's a war between two conflicting civilizations. The West insists that reason, liberty, democracy, and freedom should become universal values. The west started forcing these principles with its colonial invasion of north America (Turkish invasion of Greek Anatolia during the same time does not count as Islamist imperialism).

Western colonialism reached the Muslim world with Napoleon's invasion of Egypt in 1798. Since then, Muslims have been resisting the spread of reason, liberty, democracy, equality because these principles are against the natural order of things (religion) that humans were born with. The Gaza War is only one aspect of the conflict between a decadent West with its liberty, equality, freedom and democracy and a more authentic Islamic World with its superior conservative civilization. (If this is not Islamist Supremacy, I don't know what is)
