SHOCKING NEW REPORT FROM NYT:
Israel's operation against Hezbollah used explosive-laced Taiwanese-made pagers imported into Lebanon. The pagers, purchased from Taiwan's Gold Apollo company, were tampered with before arrival, with an ounce or two of explosives being added near the battery.
These explosives were remotely triggered via a message seemingly from Hezbollah leadership, causing devices to beep for several seconds before exploding.
Over 3,000 pagers were distributed among Hezbollah members in Lebanon, Iran, and Syria, with Israel's attack targeting those that were active and receiving messages. https://t.co/NL0AO3rvvF
