Look at cases like Korea and Japan. The population decline there is much worse. Japan is in absolute population decline. They're losing about roughly a million people a year. Korea has only 1/3 replacement rate. That means that in 3 generations the country will be 3-4% of it's current size. Basically, all that will be left is a small portion of the capital city.

I keep waiting for the birth rate to turn around but it doesn't. It seems like population collapse accelerates. That's why I think it's a very serious matter. If you believe in humanity at all, you should care about this a lot."
