ICE has once again killed a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis — a 37-year-old emergency room nurse.

What worries me most is this:

The Trump regime is displaying blatant recklessness, seemingly with a confidence that they will remain in power indefinitely.

The situation has now reached a point where, if Trump were to lose power, he and many of his gang members would almost certainly go to prison for a long, long time.

In other words, they cannot afford to lose power.

So the Trump regime is now the same as an authoritarian rule: once those in power lose control, the outcome is either imprisonment or death. Therefore this is no longer a political game but a life-or-death struggle.

That means that no matter how the midterm elections turn out, and no matter what happens in the U.S. presidential election three years from now — even if Republicans suffer a crushing defeat — the Trump regime will not step down peacefully.

Like Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, this is no longer a question of whether he wants to step aside. He has no way out — stepping down means death (or prison).

The risk of civil war in the United States is rising by the day.
