Two years ago, at the 2024 Singapore Airshow, I was there.
At the time, a Chinese man with a camera tried to photograph the cargo hold of Germany’s newest tactical transport aircraft, the A400M. He was later stopped by German military personnel, and it caused a bit of a stir. One of the German military staff even said, “Chinese, get out.”
That then cause an incident which was covered by major news outlet.
You can still find related news by searching “Singapore Airshow,” “2024,” “Germany,” and “China” on Google.
Back then I was honestly stunned, because the German military had clearly stated that photography was not allowed. The sign was huge, very obvious, and very clearly written. That guy was already holding up his camera while still in line and kept taking photos. After being stopped, he still seemed to think they hadn’t noticed—he raised his camera again and kept shooting. That’s when he was kicked out.
I witnessed it on site.
This year, the German Air Force’s A400M came again, but this time the cargo door wasn’t even opened.
And then—unbelievably—the same guy who caused trouble two years ago showed up again with a camera, snapping photos here and there. It was that same Chinese man.
I couldn’t help myself and took a photo of him.
What a damn piece of trash.
