Today, Italy deported 8 Chinese nationals who assisted Chinese overseas police in conducting transnational repression against me in the past three years.
Myself and team sincerely thank the Italian government for all its efforts, and sincere gratitude to Defenders for their continuous monitoring, documentation, and support throughout this process.
Over the past three years, my team and I have worked daily to uphold press freedom in China, continuously documenting and publishing social injustice incidents banned from circulation within domestic Chinese internet, as well as the Chinese people's aspirations for freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.
Consequently, we have endured prolonged transnational repression by the Chinese government. Myself, my team members, and our families have faced persistent, comprehensive harassment, threats, and violations across the globe.
We are heartened to see the Italian government taking action against China's overseas transnational suppression. This represents not only protection for us, but also a defense of democratic principles and the rule of law.
Moving forward, we will continue collaborating with various organizations to assist Chinese dissidents worldwide and combat the CCP's transnational repression tactics.
