On June 30, CCTV released a roughly one-minute AI horror short film alluding to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
The video's caption reads: "It's easy to summon a ghost but hard to send it away. Those who incite war will first become cannon fodder." It specifically names Sanae Takaichi and other Japanese right-wing politicians, criticizing their recklessness on historical and military issues.
The video draws from the iconic scene in the Japanese horror film *Ringu* where Sadako emerges, depicting a politician attempting to summon some historical force through a "ritual" to help him ascend to the prime minister's seat in a "presidential election," promising to increase defense spending and send the people's children to enlist in the military.
However, the politician is ultimately devoured by this force, ending up trapped in a live broadcast screen himself.
