The incident happened back in August 2025. A Chinese Coast Guard vessel was performing aggressive maneuvers against Philippine boats supporting local fishermen when it crashed directly into a Chinese naval destroyer. The impact crumpled the coast guard ship's bow by 33 feet and killed the two young crew members.
