A second suspect, a 45-year-old ethnic Korean and ex-PLA special forces veteran, operated a military surplus store right outside the main gate of Camp Humphreys, the world’s largest overseas U.S. military installation. He spent years cultivating local contacts, allegedly bribing base workers to siphon sensitive data on Ulchi Freedom Shield war games, personnel rosters, and real-time weapons movements.
