For the past 4.5 years, I have been responsible for Ukraine’s bilateral relations with Fiji and nine other Pacific Island nations as part of my role as Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand.

Now, I have the honour of taking this relationship a step further by being appointed by the President of Ukraine as the first Ukrainian non-resident Ambassador to Fiji.

This is a tremendous privilege and an honour of a lifetime. At a time when my country is going through its darkest chapter, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Ukraine, strengthening our friendships across the Pacific, and building new partnerships.

Fiji and the Pacific matter to Ukraine. Our shared commitment to sovereignty, independence and a rules-based international order brings us closer together.

I will present my credentials to the President of Fiji early next year which will complete the process of my official accreditation.

I am grateful to President @ZelenskyyUa and Foreign Minister @andrii_sybiha for their trust.

I look forward to working with Fiji on a stronger partnership between our nations
