It was an operation in which HK-based democracy activists, funded by HK tycoons and entertainment industry figures, assisted by HK and China organised crime, and acquiesced to by HK’s British Colonial Government, smuggled many 1989 Tiananmen activists out of China via HK.

Yes, HK was once a safe haven and halfway house for those fleeing CCP persecution, but HKers are now being persecuted by the CCP.
